During the last 20 years, the Business of Art Center has assisted over 900 artists by providing a place for artists to take education classes, a studio to do their work and be seen working, galleries and a gift shop to show and sell their work, and a place to teach others their techniques and to learn from colleague artists.

This 20 at 20 Exhibit honors the BAC’s past by showing artworks by original BAC visionary Paul Intemann and in Hagnauer Gallery showcasing artwork of successful BAC’s past graduates. These graduate artists were selected through a nominating process by previous BAC directors. Their work encompasses a wide range of diversity in materials, content, and span of time.  These artists include Fred Darpino, Ka Fisher, Dr. Lea Gaydos, Jean Gumpper, Rui Haagen, Bill Hyer, Ron Koehen, Tom Leech, Daisy McConnell, Kim Sayers Newlin, Mark Wong, Rebecca Yaffe, Steve Wood, and Kathy Romberg. The BAC takes great pride in being a meaningful contributor to these extremely accomplished artists.

The BAC is recognizing the present and looking forward to the future as we present artwork by our current studio artists Harriet Lee, Romona Lapsley, David Ball, Perri Tyler, Mimi Mitchell, David Gonzales, Paul Dahlsten, Charles Hensley, Carroll Dorrell- Hightower, John Venezia, Cindy Hawkins, Anna Pacholak-Pawlik, Rex Pillager, J.P. Garner, Stephanie Wienecke and the current Executive Director, Dr. Patricia Arnold.

The Business of Art Center presents the 2008 Studio Artist exhibition "Artists at Work". This is a multi media, multi faceted exhibit featuring the work of professional artists participating in the studio incubator program at the BAC. Disciplines include printmaking, pottery, sculpture, painting, digital art, photography, papermaking, silk painting, woodworking and glass. The BAC offers an enriching environment for artists to develop their skills. Equipment is provided in the many different studios allowing the artists 24-hour access. All the artists represented in this show are working artists developing their skills and perfecting their craft.
