KRCC Concerts is pleased to present DeVotchKa with special guests The Haunted Windchimes in concert.

Denver's Devotchka has garnered international acclaim for their unique blend of Eastern European Gypsy punk, folk-rock, and indie rock sounds. Originally a backing band for burlesque shows, in their early years DeVotchKa also toured with fetish model Dita von Teese. Numerous nationwide tours in support of self released records earned the band an underground following. Their song "How It Ends" was featured on the trailer for the film Everything is Illuminated, introducing the band to a widening audience. Their performance at the 2006 Bonaroo music festival was considered a breakout event. In between tours, the band was picked by first time film directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris to score Little Miss Sunshine, a film that would go on to garner four Academy Award nominations, as well as a Grammy nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack. This past summer, Devotchka headlined Day One of the two day Monolith Festival at Red Rocks Amphitheater.

The Haunted Windchimes hail from Pueblo and have become a favorite of many in the Pikes Peak region. Bill Forman of the Colorado Springs Independent writes, "Their reverence for the likes of Leadbelly and Robert Johnson, artists long dead before any of them were born, is one thing; their ability to play in that tradition with such soulfulness and conviction is virtually unheard of for a group whose oldest member, Inaiah [Lujan], just turned 25."

This is without a doubt a special Colorado music sandwich with Colorado Springs situated as the meat. All are encouraged to attend this delicious evening and to come take a bite.
