Add Review/CommentThis interfaith event will feature performances of Odissi dance by Tejas Hemsell of the Shakti Dance Troupe with her students. These are sacred temple dances from the Hindu tradition originating in the east Indian region of Orissa, as taught by Tejas' guru, Shri Mati Sangeeta Dash. Following the dance, Matt Frum will lead a short Buddhist meditation. The evening will close with some devotional chanting.
(This event is a fundraiser for The Goat Project, which provides sustainable income to the people of Haiti. Proceeds are going to InKind, a non-profit organization directed by Corey Almond, a native of Colorado Springs. For info please visit InKind.org or write Victoria at manchestervicky@hotmail.com.)
