Add Review/CommentConsidered by her peers to be one of the best improvisers of her generation, Sophie-Veronique Cauchefer-Choplin has an extensive international career. She serves as Titular assistant of the Great Organ of St. Sulpice in Paris. This 31st concert in the Colorado College Distinguished Organist Series features Cauchefer-Choplin performing on the historic Shove Memorial Chapel pipe organ. In addition to an "Improvisation on a Given Theme," she will play works by Mendelssohn, Franck, Widor, Rachmaninoff and Bedard. The concert will be followed by a reception honoring the artist.
