    Poetry West Workshop led by Soham Patel

    Poet Soham Patel will teach the next Poetry West workshop on Asian Forms including forms from Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Korea. Patel will explore how contemporary Asian American writers like Kimiko Hahn and Shirley Geok-Lin Lim employ these forms or versions of these forms in their writing. The workshop will also examine and practice recently emerged hybrid forms, like the American lune. Patel's work is forthcoming in Boxcar Poetry...

    Poet Soham Patel will teach the next Poetry West workshop on Asian Forms including forms from Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Korea. Patel's work is forthcoming in Boxcar Poetry Review; she is featured in the UC-Denver Literary Magazine, Copper Nickel's Special Issue on Women Writing the American West. Her poems and prose also have appeared in Stirring, SHAMPOO Poetry, Cranky Literary Journal and Austrailia's Malleable Jangle.
