Add Review/CommentThe holiday season officially begins when Santa and Mrs. Claus pay an early visit to Colorado Springs. As part of a 22-year tradition called the White Lights Ceremony, more than 250,000 strands of lights brighten the nighttime sky, signaling the official start of the Broadmoor's holiday season. In honor of the Broadmoor's 90th Anniversary, this year's ceremony promises to be the most stunning yet. As in years past, the first lights appear on "Love Lights a Tree," the annual fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society. At 4 p.m. music fills the air on the West Patio by the lake, with Ken Miller and vocalist Lila Mori performing songs of the season. The highlight of the evening is the much-anticipated arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus, as they flip the giant switch that illuminates the entire resort for the holiday season.
