    First Presbyterian Church's "Christmas Joy" concert is poised for the 11th year of ushering families into the spirit and excitement of the Christmas season with two performances on December 14 at the Pikes Peak Center in Colorado Springs. The full-spectrum musical production will once again feature some of Colorado Springs' foremost vocal and instrumental talents as well as guest soloists, all bringing an eclectic mix of seasonal music, from the traditional and sacred to big band specials to popular Christmas carols. "'Christmas Joy' performances are designed to capture our hearts with everything from the most tender moments, to exuberant celebration, to the highest crescendos of spiritual expression," said Jim DeJarnette, Minister of Music at First Presbyterian. The concert will feature the 150-voice First Presbyterian Sanctuary Choir, accompanied by a full orchestra and a 17-piece big band. The Colorado Springs Children's Chorale will perform, as well as Ballet Emmanuel and the Pikes Peak Ringers handbell ensemble.

    Admission Info:
    $12, $15, $20 Tickets are on sale now for the 2:30 and 6 p.m. performances at First Presbyterian Church: Monday-Friday and Sunday mornings at the first floor reception desk. Tickets may also be obtained by calling 719-520-SHOW or 866-464-2626, on-line at www.pikespeakcenter.com or in person at The World Arena and Pikes Peak Center box offices, all front range King Soopers and the Citadel Mall guest services desk.
