    Kurt Weill's Street Scene may be the composer's ultimate masterpiece, but it remains largely unknown to the general public. In order to build excitement and appreciation in advance of the two Pikes Peak Center performances of this "Broadway Opera," Opera Theatre of the Rockies is offering the Street Scene Selection–a series of seven special events. The first offering in the series is a staged-reading of the Pulitzer prize-winning play by Elmer Rice that was the basis for the show. Eve Tilley directs.
