Post-Apocalyptic Whimsey

Visions of the future from the slightly off-center minds of Ron Koehn and Paul Dahlsten. "Post-Apocalyptic" refers to the period of time after disastrous events (an apocalypse), the foundation of a new world order as a result of the triumph of good over evil.

Ron Koehn recently completed a series of "apocalyptic" tea sets, so it seemed logical to pursue what comes next.

"Whimsy" refers to an odd or fanciful idea; a whim–a quaint or fanciful quality. The artists' work has often been described as having this element. Clay artists Koehn and Dahlsten present their most recent work in the Avenue Gallery, Venue 513, at the Business of Art Center in Manitou.

During the opening reception for this exhibition, the artists will make a brief presentation describing their perspectives for this exhibit.
