Artist Trading Cards
March 15-September 20, 2008
Add Review/Comment
Collecting art has never been easier. By making and trading Artist Trading Cards, you can have an extensive collection of art in no time. ATC’s are small original self-produced miniature works of art, 2 ½" x 3 ½", that anyone can produce. The idea is that you trade them with other people who make cards, usually one for one. Online trading is also available and there are many ATC trading and discussion groups on the internet. The Core gallery in Denver boasts that they originated the first ATC sessions in the U.S. The Business of Art Center offers FREE ATC sessions on the third Saturday of every month. Different styles and themes are explored each month, but participants are welcome to simply follow their muse. Come join in on the fun and work with local artists. Everyone is welcome. All you need is some card stock and a little imagination. Some art supplies are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring materials to share. No art experience is necessary only the willingness to be creative and to share in a community experience. So, if you are an artist that is still searching for your medium, this is the perfect opportunity to explore. If you are a professional artist, this is the perfect opportunity to create studies and share your experience. Then all you have to do is trade and watch your art collection grow.
