Cottonwood Artists' School is proud to host the 27th Annual Congressional Art Competition, "Let's Try Art for a Change."

This special event, sponsored by Congressman Doug Lamborn, will exhibit the best art of high school students, grades 9-12, in the 5th Congressional District. Come join us in supporting these talented students from El Paso, Fremont, Chaffee, Lake, Park and Teller counties as they present their individual expressions in the form of painting, drawing, prints, collage, computer-generated art, photography and mixed media.

The Reception and Awards Ceremony will have been held on February 28 from 10a.m.-1p.m. , at which time the Grand Prize Winner and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category were announced. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a $1500/year scholarship for Savannah College of Art and Design, 3 round-trip tickets to Washington DC, and his/her artwork will be displayed in Washington DC at the U.S. Capitol. The Reception will then continue until 4 p.m. Saturday, February 28th and also on Monday, March 2nd from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
