Cottonwood Artists' School presents a Members and Studio Artists Juried Photography Exhibit in the main gallery at its First Friday Open House in March. The opening reception will include refreshments, and an interesting array of color and black and white photographs. The studios of our more than 35 Cottonwood artists will also be open to the public.
March's exhibit will be the final reception at the 25 Cimino Drive location. On December 31, 2008, Cottonwood purchased the building at 427 E. Colorado Avenue. This was made possible through the generous support and financing of the owner, Elmer Herbertson of Colorado Springs. Cottonwood Artists? School, Studios, and Gallery will reopen in April at its new home at with an initial opening reception for the First Friday in April and a grand opening the last weekend of April, 2009. The new building will house over 80 artists studios, a large gallery, two large classrooms, a printmaking studio, and amenities for potters and sculptors.
