Big Picture Discussion Group: Spirit and Reason with Lance Williams

The Big Picture Discussion Group meets every Wednesday at Venue 515 to discuss topics regarding the relationship between art and spirituality. On March 4th, the BPDG welcomes Lance Williams. Mr. Williams will discuss his book the Spirit of Reason, which deals with the conflict between science and religion. In the words of Tom Paine:

it is not a matter of choosing between science and religion. Science is part of the one true religion. Science reveals the Word of the divine, transcribed in the physical universe. While there are religious doctrines in harmony with the revelations of modern science, science is the ultimate inheritor of the spiritual revolution which began with Luther.

There will be a question and answer period following the presentation. Mr. Williams will also have copies of his book available for purchase.
