Presenting the first B.I.G. Idea Art Program workshop, a new series of artists' workshops: Color Theory with artist Regan Rosburg, who is exhibiting simultaneously in the Smokebrush Gallery. Ms. Rosburg will lead a group through a two-day foray into the intricacies of color theory.

A well-rounded, hands-on exploration of one of the most important concepts in art: color theory! In her fun and informative teaching style, internationally-recognized Denver artist, Regan Rosburg, approaches this fundamental topic from not only an artistic angle, but also from its social, historic, and scientific connotations. A vital tool for artists at any career stage.
    • Gain a historical overview of color.
    • Learn how the eye perceives color and wavelengths of light.
    • Discover the physiological effects of color on the human body.
    • Learn about nature's coloring system & color mimicry.
    • Experience finding your own color language as an artist.
    • A hands-on course using eco-friendly, non-toxic materials!

Regan lives and teaches in Denver, and exhibits around the country and as far away as Bali. She mainly works in resin, creating elaborate 3D paintings. Her work requires tremendous research, calculated planning and a sense of humor when things go wrong. Color theory is a fundamental aspect of her work. Regan's work can be seen at the Smokebrush Gallery and at www.reganrosburg.com.
