Enrich Your Life: Paper Sculpture

In this workshop, we will take natural paper fibers and transform them through sculptural papermaking into three-dimensional objects. Students will be lead through the basics of fiber preparation and paper sheet formation, will construct basic armatures filled with sand, and then cast the paper over the armatures to create unique objects. Students will leave with the knowledge of how to create more similar sculptures at home in their own kitchens. All experience levels welcome. Two day workshop, Saturday and Sunday, July 4-5, 8:00AM-3:00PM. Taught by Colin Frazer and Frank Brannon. Sponsored by the CC Summer Festival of the Arts.
