    World Music Series 2009: Quetzal

    Quetzals music combines Mexican and Cuban rhythms, jazz, and rock behind the powerful vocals of siblings Martha and Gabriel Gonzalez. The group was formed in East Los Angeles by guitarist-composer Quetzal Flores, who wanted the band to not only have a unique sound, but also a social consciousness. They have been hailed by Los Lobos and others as the new torch bearers of Chicano music. This is the first concert of the 2009 World Music Series...

This is the first concert of the 2009 World Music Series of Pikes Peak Library District, Colorado College, and KRCC Concerts. Bring friends and food and enjoy! In the event of rain, the concert will be in Armstrong Theater.
