KRCC FM and A Music Company Inc. present one of the hottest new singers on the jazz scene today, Roberta Gambarini, performing in her Colorado Springs debut. She will be backed up by the Eric Gunnison trio featuring some of the finest Jazz musicians in Colorado.

Preceding the concert will be a "Meet and Greet" with Ms. Gambarini and the band. The Meet and Greet is $50 and includes a ticket to the show with choice seating. Proceeds from the Meet and Greet will benefit BAM (Broadmoor Academy of Music) and KRCC FM.

Table seating, full bar and appetizers will be available for purchase at the concert. The Cheyenne Mountain Resort is offering special overnight rates for those attending the concert. Dining is available the evening of the concert. Call 719-538-4000 for more details.

Some background:
Gambarini moved to the United States from her native Italy in 1998 and quickly started her rise in popularity with jazz fans. Since then, Gambarini has performed with many major jazz artists such as Herbie Hancock, Christian McBride, and Toots Thieleman. 

Pianist Eric Gunnison graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He lives in Denver and is instructor of Jazz Piano at CU - Denver. Mr. Gunnison has recorded and toured with vocalist Carmen McRae, saxophonist Nelson Rangell and trumpeter Ron Miles.

Bassist Mark Simon has had many years of experience playing with top name players from all over the country. In addition to touring with Carmen McCrae, he has performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Rosemary Clooney, Dave Grusin, Eddie Harris, Joe Farrell, Roben Ford and Randy Brecker. Mark is a valued clinician in the Douglas County School system and various colleges and high schools around the region. He also serves on the faculty of CU - Boulder.

Percussionist Mike Marlier is currently performing with Dotsero, the Montgomery/Olstad big band, Don Grusin, Nelson Rangell, and countless others. He is also the staff drummer at the Heritage Christian Center, the music coordinator at the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, and the drummer for the Climb, the faculty jazz combo in residence at the Lamont School of Music.
