The premier interpreters of the historic music of the American West, Gardner & Rideout have taken their educational performances to museums and historic sites across the country, from Fort Union National Historic Site in North Dakota to the Palace of the Governors in Santa Fe. Their authentic music is featured in the visitor center films at several National Park Service historic sites, and True West Magazine recently recognized the duo as the "Best Musical Tour of the West of 2009." They perform with a variety of vintage instruments -- including banjo, mandolin, fiddle, guitar, and bones -- they incorporate historic playing styles.
