Leo Rondeau in concert

Leo Rondeau, an up-and-coming singer/songwriter who mixes traditional country and bluegrass with storytelling inspired by his upbringing in the Turtle Mountains of North Dakota, will be appearing at Venue 515 at the Business of Art Center.

Originally from North Dakota, Rondeau now makes Austin his home. In his 2007 debut CD, Bangs, Bullets and the Turtle Mountains, Rondeau pulls his languid drawl across country ballads braced by banjo and steel, the caustic crack of his voice cut with an ornery attitude. His impressive songwriting drifts through easy honky-tonk anthems and supple, aching, country waltzes he weaves his way through original country ballads that make the heart ache. With the release of his newest CD Down at the End of the Bar, Rondeau has been touring extensively. The new CD contains more of what his fans have come to enjoy; elegant lyricism and melodies that will stick in your head for days.
