The Canyon Walls series, interpretations of the southwestern landscape, by award winning artist Eulalie J. Brown will be shown at Spencer Hall at the Business of Art Center April 9 - June 3, 2008. The opening reception will be held on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 5 - 8 PM as a part of the BAC's Campus-Wide art release event. Color, shape, and texture dominate Eulalie's water media interpretations of the Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona landscape. She wants the Canyon Wall series to evoke an emotion, an idea, a sense of place; one that expresses the vast distance, heights and depths of the rock walls and the atmospheric effects of the light across these vistas.

Eulalie (u - lă - lēē) J. Brown studied graphic design at Parsons School of Design in N.Y. She earned her BA in Art Education from CW Post College in Brookville N.Y. She has a Masters in Special Education from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. She currently lives in Colorado Springs where she works as a painter, digital artist, website designer, and teacher. She is a member of the Bridge Gallery and the Colorado Springs Art Guild.
