    Malinda Russell’s Recipes More than a Cookbook: Off-Roads into History This fascinating 39-page cookbook written in 1866 was recently discovered by a Michigan book collector, and is now believed to be the first cookbook written by an African-American. Presenter Leigh Cravin will discuss the times and conditions that inspired this wonderful discovery. Cravin is a local attorney, writer, and board member of the Colorado Historical Society and the Colorado Springs New Deal Preservation Board.
