The program will trace a brief history of quackery with emphasis on medicines, methods, and devices from 1840 to present. Sample a "tonic" that once promised to improve your health! The latest book in PPLD's Regional History Series, Doctors at Timberline: True Tales, Travails, and Triumphs of a Pioneer Colorado Physician, by Charles Fox Gardiner will be available for purchase. Join the gallery talk of the accompanying exhibit. Refreshments will be served. Sun., April 6 at 2 p.m. at Penrose Library, Carnegie Reading Room
