Redwoods: Set amidst the romantic splendor of northern California’s redwoods and Russian River, this cinematically beautiful movie portrays the difficult choices one faces when confronted by unshakable love. Miles and Everett’s long relationship has lost its spark and is held together by their son, Billy. When Miles and Billy go on a trip, Everett meets Chase, a writer passing through town. Their common bonds raise eternal questions of loyalty, family and desire. Brandan Bradley as Everett and Mathew Montgomery as Chase display their full acting talents in this tender account of the hard decisions that come with true love. (directed by David Lewis 2009, USA, 82 min.)

The Pikes Peak Lavender Film Festival is the only completely LGBT film festival in Colorado, and has been held in Colorado Springs since 1999. The festival programmers select from the best short films and features screened at the annual San Francisco International LGBT Film Festival.
