Taiko (the Japanese word meaning "great drums") music has become increasingly popular worldwide and in the United States over the past few years, and the last time a complete taiko concert was held in the Pikes Peak region was in 2005. The Japan America Society of Southern Colorado is pleased to present a concert from Kaminari Taiko, led by Kenichi Nishiyama from Japan. The group hails from Crestone, Colorado and is comprised of both native Japanese as well as local musicians. Jointly sponsored by the Japan-America Society of Southern Colorado (JASSC) and Colorado College.
