Presenting a concert featuring Dakota Blonde! Although the lead singer, Mary Huckins, is from South Dakota, the group appears at venues across the Rocky Mountain region and has a dedicated following of "Blonde Heads." This vibrant acoustic group plays a unique combination of folk, bluegrass, and country with a little Celtic tinge.

Dakota Blonde's awards include winning the Walnut Valley Festival New Song Showcase in Kansas, being a finalist in the Merlefest Chris Austin Songwriting Contest in North Carolina, and the Independent Record Label Awards.

The members of Dakota Blonde are Mary Huckins, whose sweet, strong vocals are the linchpin in holding the group's harmonies together; Don Pinnella, who plays guitar and sings harmony; and Tony Raddell, who plays acoustic bass and provides the onstage humor. All three come from musical families and their charm stems both from the music they play and from the family feeling they bring to their concerts. They have shared the stage with Nickel Creek, Firefall, and John McEuen, and played at festivals with Emmylou Harris, David Crosby and others. KCUV Radio in Denver describes Dakota Blonde as the "sweetest acoustic sound around," while North Carolina's Barrett Mountain Music describes the group as "honest, warm, comfortable, fun, and utterly unique . . . the best night of music we have ever experienced."
