Our guest band, My Name is Nobody, is from the city of Nantes, in the Bretagne region of France, from whence comes the distinct and intelligent warble of Vincent Dupas. Immediately reflective of formative years spent discovering American folk music and indie rock, Dupas' songs carry rich subtextual elements, deep enough to be explored with vigor -- his lyrics, reflections on culture and politics and the personal adventure of being human, are colorful, beautiful, and often fascinating contortions of the English language. Dupas' self-awareness and humor are matched only by his sincerity. This tour marks the maiden voyage of My Name is Nobody to the United States, although they have toured extensively throughout greater Europe, performing upwards of 200 shows in the past 3 years. You can hear their music at http://www. myspace.com/mninmusic

Laura Goldhamer most frequently performs with banjo, guitar, voice and video projections alongside a lovely group affectionately known as "the Silvernail": Macon Terry (upright bass), Matt Case (pedal steel), Griff Snyder (aka Gryph, piano), and Paul DeHaven (percussion). Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Laura Goldhamer (banjo, guitar and vocal) is now living back in her home town. For more, check out http://www.myspace.com/lauragoldhamer

Mark Trecka of Pillars and Tongues will be opening. You can hear him at http://www.myspace.com/pillarsandtongues
