Mark's Midnight Carnival Show, Edith Makes a Paper Chain and Tall City

Add Review/Comment
Colorado Springs-based musicians Edith Make a Paperchain and Tall City jive with Pueblo-based acoustic rock band Mark's Midnight Carnival Show.
Mark Bush is a singer-songwriter with a passion for performing. This Indie-Aggressive Acoustic Rocker attacks his music head on, layering intensely powerful vocals with a percussive acoustic sound rare and often unseen in the modern singer-songwriter. Known as Mark's Midnight Carnival Band, he delivers the hard and the soft, the electric and the unplugged, the up and the down seamlessly.
Edith Makes a Paperchain is indie rock music combined with a comforting traditional folk sound. Sarah Hope (guitar and vocals), Hilary Studebaker (fiddle, viola, and vocals), Melissa Joy (upright bass), Matt Chmielarczyk (mandolin), Jeremy VanHoy (brass) and Aimee Spillane (drums) come together in various lineups to share their delightful melodies.
Tall City's Chris Bullock is best known locally for his propulsive keyboard work in the Nicotine Fits, whose Stooges-meet-MC5 energy earned them the Pikes Peak Art Council award for best popular music act in 2007. But Bullock brings a decidedly different approach to his solo project Tall City, which foregrounds the old autoharp he bought at a church yard sale for $40.
