Listening to the Universe
October 24, 2009
Add Review/Comment
Astronomers from Galileo to Einstein have used their eyes and ever-improving telescopes to learn about the Universe. Today a new window is opening on our understanding of space. New gravitational wave detectors will catch ripples from distant stars and galaxies. In this workshop we will show you how telescopes have been used to build a silent picture of the Universe, and catching gravitational waves will be like turning on the sound to listen to the Universe. Come enjoy this teen event, part of All Pikes Peak Reads 2009.
