Matters of the heart dominate our November program, with rising New York soprano Rochelle Small in a stunning performance of William Grant Still's charming "From the Hearts of Women." Wagner's "Siegfried Idyll" was a housewarming gift to his wife as they settled into their new home. Rounding out the program are Nielsen's dynamic Clarinet Concerto and Dvořák's soulful "Czech Suite." This is likely to be the most poignant concert of the season.
