FutureSelf's Creatively Challenged Adult Workshops: Encaustic painting

Encaustic, or beeswax painting, is an ancient art form that is enjoying a contemporary resurgence and it is truly a joy to create art using the medium. Daisy McConnell will teach this weekend workshop geared towards novices through advanced artists. Come play with wax and discover this gorgeous medium!
You will complete several pieces of artwork that you're sure to be amazed by, wrapping up your weekend with an "exhibition" of your masterpieces in our closing circle on Sunday from 4-5 pm!
We will have lunch on our own both days, you can bring your lunch and eat on the beautiful patio that overlooks Monument Valley Park, walk over to some of our charming downtown cafés or have lunch at Café 36 in the museum.
The workshop is a mere $120 for both days. There is a separate $20 supply fee paid to our teaching artist Saturday morning. To pay in advance by credit card, go to www.futureself.org and click the "donate now" button. If you would like to pay by cash or check, please bring it with you Saturday morning. If you're writing a check, please be prepared to write one to FutureSelf for $120 and one to Daisy McConnell for $20.
