In terms of cultural understanding, holidays are a good way to "see" into another culture. Los Dîas de los Muertos (the Days of the Dead), properly understood, are a time when we can get a powerful insight into the deep chasm that separates traditional Spanish-Mexican culture from mainstream U.S. culture. In this interactive presentation, we will begin to understand the significance of traditional peoples' profound awareness of the relationship between the living and the dead (75 minutes with Q&A session).
