Utilizing a cast of nearly twenty hand-carved marionettes, this original Simpich play brings to life the eventful Christmas Eve night a village woodcarver completes his puppet Nativity scene for a local Christmas festival. Weaving the old and new, The Puppet Maker is a warm, startling and reverent celebration of the Christmas Story.

      David Simpich has done it again! His spectacular performance as the Puppet Maker is superb! We took 10 people with us and they all were "wowed" at the professionalism and the accurateness of the depiction of the Gospel of Luke which Mr. Simpich uses as the text for his play. It brought the Nativity alive. We were drawn into the story and had empathy for the puppet maker as he strives to make his production up to par for the people in his village who didn't deserve to see it. A great evening's entertainment for old and young alike. Please go see it before the season is over. You won't be disappointed! The Simpich Theater is a great addition to our area. Collapse
