Rubbish Gallery has been showing and supporting emerging artist in the Pikes Peak region for over four years. Our aim this holiday season is to not only provide small and affordable art to give as a gift, but to take it one step further and present a product that can be sold for less than the price of dinner and a movie. Twenty-Oh-Nine is a collection of creations from local artists selling for $20.09.

Featuring the works of artists such as Lorelei Beckstrom, Phil Lear, Jon Lindstrom, Neil Fenton, Caitlin Goebel, J9 Glass, Josh Kennard, Lorenzo White, Marc W. Finley, Garret Dawson, Molly Harris, Aaron North, and many others, this is an event you don't want to miss! By skipping the usual seasonal stress of a corporate Christmas, our patrons not only can give the gift of art (a gift that truly will last a lifetime), but support the local economy. You don't have to feed your hard earned money back into the machine that made it, you can cycle it back into your community & support the ever evolving eye candy that is your local arts scene.

Twenty-Oh-Nine opens on December 11 at 5:17 p.m. and run through Friday, January 1. Join us for the festivities on opening Friday, and throughout the month for live music from local musicians and artistic, recycled holiday gift wrap (available for your art purchases as well as gifts from other vendors and shops).

Our musical line up for Opening Friday, December 11 will feature Andy Tanner, Jackie Bond, and Dj JuiceBox.

On Saturday, December 12, things are going to get dancey with Highered Intellegence, The Gaia Experiment, and from Boulder, Sunshine.

If you find yourself in a mid-month slump, stop by Rubbish on December 18, for some not-so-traditional caroling from Dragon's Wing, the wordsmiths who make poetry poppin'!

Start off 2010 right, and come on down again for our Hangover Recovery Party on New Year's Day with a bloody mary bar & easy on the eardrum notes from "The Dudes of Folk" featuring Briffaut, Hawk & Sparrow, Life as a Mountain Lion, Tall City, and Denver musicians John Strelec and Roger Brought His A-Game.

Don't give a gift to be outgrown or outshown, give the gift of visual bliss, a handmade piece of art from a craftsperson in your area!

This is a "cash and carry" event.
