In 1968, a year prior to the first moon landing, nationally-renowned Colorado Springs artist Eric Bransby created a 30-foot-long mural that depicts significant moments in the history of navigation from nautical voyages to space travel. The mural was originally commissioned for the United States Air Force Planetarium and is on loan to the FAC from the Air Force Academy. Interesting note, Mr. Bransby also painted the murals atop the FAC entrance.
