You may look at the Flyer and wonder why Frankenstein. Other than a generally sad and haunting photo of the misunderstood "monster," This show will prove to be a monster of a show. A mixed bag of emotions will be employed and take you on a fantastic journey into your unknown psyche. In short. This is a show not to be missed. It will be discussed for decades to come. Starting the show off is the debut showing of what will surely be Colorado Springs favorite new band: Six Generals. These guys are former members of a band who shall not be named. You will recognize their faces, but their sound shall be something new to your ears. An absolute and complete departure from these fine gentleman's old project of yore. The combine a technical proficencey with a love for good pop songs. Their new material brings about a description that i can only describe as SPOON meets FUGAZI with a large dose of Mike Watt for that bass rocking Flavor. Check out these demos this band recorded in the past: http://www.myspace.com/sixgenerals Please note, that from what i understand there will be vocals on these songs when performed live. The touring band, Archeology are from Portland, Oregon. Land of beards and honey, and this band is just that sweet. Taking their cues from a more European pop sensibility, this band creates a hauntingly simple pop arouma of flavor. I've been listening to lots of spoon as of late and when listening to this band, i hear a good portion of that love for that type of pop sensibilities, but with a more simplistic and acoustic feel. They've recently just played SxSw and are on their way to conquering the pop world. Don't believe me or can't understand what the hell I am talking about, Please check them out at: http://www.myspace.com/archeology And if you have been here longer than 6 Months, then you know the headliner needs ZERO introduction. The Almighty, the majestic, the absolute INCREDIBLE, EL TORO DE LA MURTE. So therefore you're not going to get an introduction. Words will not do these guys justice so instead i send you to the following to do your own investigations: http://www.myspace.com/bullofdeath This show is $3 to cover all the epic musical journeys of the night. A damn fine price for any adventure of this type. The door time is 9pm, with the magic starting around 9:30. 21+ as always, so don't forget your ID.... Enjoy $3 cans of Dale's Pale Ale, Old Chub & Mama's Yella. $5.50 pitchers of PBR and $2 pints. Spread the word. This is a show NOT to be missed....
