Manitou Springs hosts the first-ever local Gypsy Jazz festival, DjangoJAM on Memorial Day at Soda Springs Park. The event is free to the public and features three top Colorado Gypsy Jazz bands--the Hot Club from Boulder, and local acts Anonymity Guru and Mango fan Django.

Gypsy jazz is an exciting musical style using acoustic instruments playing swing music as first popularized in the 1930's by the great Parisian Gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt. Each band will play for approximately one hour, and an all-star Gypsy jazz jam session will complete the event from 3 to 4 p.m. DjangoJAM is a great way to wrap up the Memorial Day weekend! Soda Springs Park is located in the heart of historic Manitou Springs. Food, shopping and the arcade are all within a few hundred feet of the festival area. The performances will be held in the covered stage area providing protection in case of inclement weather. Manitou Springs DjangoJAM is an officially supported event of the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce.
