This one day workshop will introduce students to the joy of firing in a Raku kiln. Glazing and Horse Hair Raku will be demonstrated. The setup, safe use and firing of a portable Raku kiln and Top Hat Raku kiln will also be demonstrated. Handouts, glazes and firings are included. Students may supply their own bisque ware or buy it from the instructor. Students are limited to a maximum of eight pieces, no more than 6” wide and 10”...
