Come and be immersed in the cosmology, philosophy, hopes and humor of a woman with no previous exposure to Western civilization, for Aama is a universal spirit, singular in her discovery of the vitality and sacredness that surrounds us and breathes within us.

Broughton Coburn, Harvard graduate and author of five books (including two national bestsellers), is a premier authority on the culture and environment of the Himalaya.

In addition to publishing two books about Aama, one on her village life in Nepal and another on her American odyssey, Coburn wrote the New York Times bestseller Everest: Mountain without Mercy (National Geographic Books), as well as other books and magazine pieces. A prolific author and popular public speaker, his long history working with NGOs on development issues in the Himalayas granted him a wealth of experience of how worlds meet. He lives in Jackson, Wyoming.
