Please join us at our Opening Reception for Organized Pandemonium by Ken and Tina Riesterer, and Robert D. LeDonne. These three artists come together exploring the sensuous surfaces of clay and canvas. Organized Pandemonium emphasizes the painterly effect and movement of line which is both the common thread of their work, and unique to each artist. “We like to play and are very much affected by our surroundings. Whether it’s a piece of music, beauty in nature or a dream we’ve had the previous night… we all welcome every experience and joyfully bring it into our work.” Ken, Tina and Robert Wind swept brushstrokes show movement in Ken Riesterer’s paintings. He engages the viewer to experience the feeling of air, depth, or hot and cold. Ken’s approach is to use nature without copying it. Tina Riesterer loves the human form. Evident in her work is the joy that people, animals, and their relationships give her. Tina says that drawing is easy, like playing, eating ice cream or flying in a dream. Robert LeDonne’s artistic vision focuses on the line between functional and non-functional, where contemporary worlds collide. Robert’s Raku work is about thrown forms, extrusions, and press moulds. The technique is about dissecting and reassembling these forms. Like the Riesterer pottery, it is also about the relationship of color and where negative shape within the form allows the viewer to travel visually.
