Hazel Miller is not just a great singer, "she is a force of nature!" quotes the Rocky Mountain News. Her voice has been called "stunning, moving and powerful." Hazel has been a sought after performer in Colorado for the past 24 years. Whether she is singing blues, jazz, pop, or Gospel, her voice charges the songs with a primal dose of genuine soul. The Denver Post has said, “Hazel began her 38-year career in Louisville, Kentucky, where she rose to the top of the music scene. She opened for popular artists such as Mel Torme, James Brown, Temptations, Earl Klugh, Bob James and many others. When she's belting out blues, gospel, jazz and pop at area clubs and theaters, Denver's Hazel Miller makes everyone's socks roll up and down. For the past five years, her group has won the Westword readers' poll as the city's best blues/R&B band. Her soulful voice also has landed Miller numerous high-profile gigs. When she performed for Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa, he reportedly exclaimed, "Please do tell me why I haven't heard of Hazel Miller before! She's wonderful!"
