The Special Blend Band

Add Review/Comment
The Special Blend Band began back in 2001 when Gilbert Vigil and Pete Dominguez teamed up with Manny Vigil (no relation to Gilbert) to form a new kind of band that could perform many styles or genres of music. The band decided they would cater to a diverse group of audiences and a style of music that would play country, oldies, tejano mix and classic rock. Since Gilbert had previously already registered the current band name, it was decided to stick with the name The Special Blend Band.
In 2003, the Band produced their first CD titled Mi Tomacita which included three original songs and also performed for the Chicano Music Festival in Denver Colorado. They did a live performance for a local TV station which was also a participating sponsor for the Chicano Music Festival.
This hardworking band continues to tour the state and beyond performing at festivals, private parties and more. They are truly enjoyed by thousands of fans.
