The Zen Theory CD Release Party
November 4, 2010
Add Review/Comment
The Zen Theory has been compared to rock greats such as Government Mule, The String Cheese Incident, Widespread Panic and The Doors ... while these are amazing compliments to have for a project that only started in 2010 ...
The band, which is made up of Nash "Nacho" Gonzales on guitar and lead vocals, Paula Johnson on the piano and Wurlitzer organ, Jason Overton on bass guitar, Chris Heydlauff on various percussion and Craig Tomanini on drums, has its sights set on the brass ring.
Already early into their schedule, the band has performed at many high profile venues trying to bolster its following which continues to grow seemingly overnight. The band plans to go into the studio to record a five-track EP in early September at Cottage Productions Studio with engineer Rocky Sarter. The plans on the table for this band include a busy show schedule, a CD in the fall and a tour to the Northwest to include Washington, California, Utah and Nevada.
Keep your eyes out for them they will be coming to your town soon...The Zen Theory is a blend of 60's Psychedelica with some Doors and Government Mule, influences that are written to put you into a state of mind that is well, Zen, of course.
