The Modbo is delighted to present a show of new works on canvas by Douglas Rouse and photography by Holly Garlow. The show opens on Friday, September 10th, from 5:30 pm until late and runs through Friday, October 1st.

Douglas Rouse is a self-taught, self-employed local artist who is known for his murals and trompe l’oeil painting. His latest show is called “Steampunk Paraphernalia and Attack of the Dinosaur.” This body of work embodies the essence and fun of the Steampunk genre, a totally fantasy-filled, technological creation.

Holly Garlow has chosen the unique Holga camera as her vehicle for photography. Utilizing medium format film, her photos are printed digitally on 100% cotton paper. With their unique tone and focus, Holga-produced images evoke a bygone era. Holly showed to great acclaim at Shuga’s recently; don’t miss this latest show!
