    BYOB Poetry at The Modbo is back in the month of September! Join us at 8 pm on Friday, September 24th for this popular open mic event. Our guest poet this month is Karen Sucharski, who was the 2007 Pikes Peak Arts Council Performance Poet of the Year. She has been nominated for Poet Laureate of the Pikes Peak Region twice and has been ranked in the top 10 of regional performance poets. She is the Poetry Slammistress for National Poetry Slam...

    BYOB Poetry at The Modbo is back in the month of September! Join us at 8 pm on Friday, September 24th for this popular open mic event. Our guest poet this month is Karen Sucharski, who was the 2007 Pikes Peak Arts Council Performance Poet of the Year. She has been nominated for Poet Laureate of the Pikes Peak Region twice and has been ranked in the top 10 of regional performance poets. She is the Poetry Slammistress for National Poetry Slam but also has a body of academic work, including more than 4 dozen publications (with numerous local and national awards), four chapbooks, a CD of spoken word, and a full-length manuscript currently making the rounds to publishers. She makes her living as a ceramic artist and teacher of arts and crafts and poetry. And she also freelance edits (for money) and for non-profits on a pro-bono basis.
