    Nationally known artists from around the United States will showcase their sculptures at the first annual Sundance Mountain Sculpture Exhibition from October 5th through October 29th at Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts in Palmer Lake.

    This amazing show features over 30 locally and nationally known sculptors whose works of art are created in a variety of mediums including: stone, terra cotta, bronze, wood and even concrete! Nationally known sculptors Lisa Gordon, Richard Pankratz and Ruth Burink, among others will have their works on displayed. Internationally known sculptor and architect, Lloyd Anderson, whose work, "Great Wing" is featured at the Royal Terminal in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will be the juror for the grand prize of $1000. Approximately 70 Sculptures will be on exhibit throughout the Art Center and all are available for purchase by the public. “This is the first national sculpture show we’ve had at Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts and we are thrilled and excited to be hosting it,” said Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts Executive Director, Susan Adams.

    The public is invited to attend the free opening reception, mingle with the artists and watch a live sculpting demonstration on October 9th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A cash bar will be available.

    Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts is opened Tuesday through Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., and was voted the 2010 non-profit of the year by Tri-Lakes Chamber of Commerce. Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts is located at 304 Hwy 105 in Palmer Lake—just 20 minutes North of Colorado Springs.
    The mission of Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts is to create community partnerships for demonstrating, teaching, exhibiting and promoting the arts and humanities. The center is an advocate for artistic growth in our community and offers programs that benefit residents, business owners, students, artists, art lovers and all who are inspired by the arts.
