Poet David Whyte is a respected speaker and consultant on the subject of leadership, with many top global companies seeking his services. In this lecture, he will explore the importance of the inner life for effective organizational leadership. Strong leadership depends, he says, on "how well we build the bridge between what is occurring on the inside and the actions we must take on the outside." The author of six books of poetry and three books of prose, David Whyte holds a degree in Marine Zoology and has traveled extensively, including living and working as a naturalist guide in the Galapagos Islands and leading anthropological and natural history expeditions in the Andes the Amazon and the Himalaya. Sponsored by Colorado College, Chuck and Mary Lou Murphy, Little Caesars Pizza, Dave Feamster, Jane Hilberry and Mike Cafasso.
