The first event to kick off Cottonwood Center for the Arts‘ Year of Giving is “Bill’s Kids“. For many years, one of the local studio artists at the Cottonwood, Bill Hyer, has been collecting clothes and delivering them personally to local homeless teens. “Bill’s Kids” will take up Bill’s work and see that even more kids have something warm for the winter.

We are looking for coats, hats, gloves, boots, and socks. Starting at the art opening on December 10th from 5 – 8 PM and continuing through December 18th , Cottonwood will have bins to collect new and gently use outerwear for local homeless teenagers. We are planning to make “Bill’s Kids” an annual event.
