Join us for the opening reception at GOCA 121. We will have some snacks and drinks, and of course a great new art exhibition!
Breaking the Sound Barrier: Sonic Art 1860-2011 features historical and contemporary explorations of the medium of sound art. The exhibit focuses on audio that explores silence, noise, ideas, stories and places. Featuring listening stations and immersive installation, the exhibit will introduce visitors to the acoustic realms of contemporary art.
Curated by Valerie Brodar, Professor of Visual Art at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and multi-media artist.
