Peppino D'Agostino has had a long and distinguished career, but the last three years has seen him reach the artistic summit of his profession. After being voted 2007’s Best Acoustic Guitarist by the readers of Guitar Player magazine, Peppino released a CD tribute to his youth and homeland, Made in Italy, followed by 2010’s Nine White Kites. Peppino D’Agostino doesn’t just play the guitar. He composes, arranges, collaborates, improvises and has even been known to sing a song here and there in both English and Italian. But what he does create on the guitar makes the difference between simply playing and truly making music apparent in the most wonderful ways. “...a poet…among the best talents around”–San Francisco Chronicle; “one of the most capable composers among fingerstyle guitarists”–Acoustic Guitar; “His sound is warm and buoyant, like the man himself, and his personality shines through.”–Escape Magazine.
Joining Peppino is the legendary Laurence Juber. Fusing folk, jazz, pop and classical styles, two-time Grammy-winner Laurence Juber creates a multifaceted performance that belies the use of only one instrument.
The former lead guitarist for Paul McCartney's Wings, Juber is a world-class guitar virtuoso solo artist, composer and arranger.
Opening will be special guests from the Colorado Springs Conservatory. More information to come soon.
