The InterDisciplinary Experimental Arts program (IDEA) at Colorado College is excited to announce the opening of an exhibition featuring new work by acclaimed photographer JoAnn Verburg. Featuring large-scale photographs Interruptions explores how the intersections of memory and perspective create a multi-layered sense of place. Verburg has exhibited her work extensively in the United States and abroad and was the subject of a mid-career retrospective at The Museum of Modern Art in 2007. The exhibition is free and open to all.
The public is invited to revisit the exhibition for an IDEA Cabaret event, A Conversation through Space & Time. To mark the closing of the exhibition, JoAnn Verburg and Colorado College professors Peggy Berg (Dance) and Jonathan Lee (Philosophy) will engage in a lively discussion of the themes raised by the exhibition.
Sponsored by The NEH Distinguished Professorship, The Colorado College Cultural Attractions Fund, The President's Circle, and the Colorado College Art Department/Stillman Fund for Exhibitions.
